Black Lagoon Pop Up Bar (Tuesday-Sunday through October 31) -> The touring immersive Halloween pop-up bar Black Lagoon takes over Lost Property Bar in Hollywood for a month-long residency of themed cocktails in a wicked atmosphere filled with goth and metal music. No cover and costumes are encouraged. The bar is open Tuesday through Sunday beginning at 7 p.m.
Bienvenido A La Twilight Zone (October 27-28) -> Lucha VaVOOM is back at The Mayan Theater this October for a special two-night Halloween event featuring their inimitable blend of Mexican wrestling, burlesque dancers, aerialists, and comedians. GA tickets start at $45 per person.
Danny Elfman at The Bowl (October 28-29) -> Danny Elfman is back at The Hollywood Bowl for Halloween weekend, backed by the same rock band, orchestra, and choir that he played with at this year’s Coachella Music and Arts Festival. The setlist will include tunes from Oingo Boingo, Elfman’s solo career and classic works from
his many film scores and television themes including Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Simpsons, Batman, and more. Tickets start at $59.50.
Haunted Little Tokyo Block Party (October 29) -> One of Los Angeles’ most historic neighborhoods is throwing a 21+ block party for spooky season. Free to attend, the party will feature live music, a full bar, costume contest, and food.
Corgi Beach Day Howloween (October 29) -> The folks from SoCal Corgi Beach Day host their fall meetup at Huntington Dog Beach, and costumed corgis will be the order of the day. Expect prizes for best dressed, food vendors, and plenty of photo ops.
Halloween at Disney Concert Hall (October 31) -> Halloween night at the Walt Disney Concert Hall features a screening of the 1920s silent classic The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari featuring a live accompaniment from organist Clark Wilson, who will soundtrack the film with the help of the Concert Hall’s booming 6,134 pipe organ. Tickets start at $35 per person.
Free Ice Cream at Dear Bella (October 31) -> For the second year in a row, Dear Bella Creamery is offering a free scoop to costumed kids and/or a free “pup cone” for any costumed doggies on Halloween. The offer is good at Dear Bella’s Hollywood or Costa Mesa location. You just need to say “trick or treat” to unlock the offer.
